New Year’s Resolutions?

I’ve read various articles in the past few weeks talking about why New Years Resolutions never work. A lot of people give up on their resolutions starting from the end of the first week of the month.

The reality is, a resolution should not depend on the time of year it should really be YOU setting out to better YOURSELF at the right time. And well, there is no right time. The best way to become what you want to be is to set a lifestyle change. Things do not happen overnight. You won’t grow six pack abs in a week and you wont lose the weight by simply drinking 20 bags of flat tummy tea in a month.

In the end, your goal should be to feel good and every accomplishment should motivate you to set out for more. Don’t drop everything that you are doing, take it one day at a time and set time aside to observe your good and bad habits. Jot down notes at the end of the week or day just so that you can learn what is like to be you and where your feelings come from.

If you don’t know who you are, you cannot choose who you want to become.
